Major College Wrestling is coming to Bullhead City. On Saturday the 25th of February, the NCWA West Coast Conference championships will be decided at Mohave High School.

Placers at this tournament advance to the NCWA (National Collegiate Wrestling Association) Championships to be held at the Allen Event Center in Allen, Texas on the 9, 10, & 11 of March.

The NCWA is the governing body for non-NCAA collegiate wrestling teams across the U.S. At the regional event in Bullhead City, we will see such teams as USC, UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, San Jose State, Fresno State, BYU, Utah State, Weber State, Dixie State, University of Utah, University of Arizona, and others.

So why are they coming to Bullhead City? As it happens, the head wrestling coach at River Valley HS in Mohave Valley, Wayne Briggs, is the West Coast Conference commissioner. Coach Briggs, in consultation with Conference Director, Evan Hess, and the schools represented, made the decision to bring the Meet to the Bullhead area.

Wrestling will begin at 10:00 a.m. The public is invited to attend, and admission price is a nominal $3 per person.
