Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Tiffani Rose Mitchell, 34, of Fredonia, and Tennille Turner, 38, of Kanab, Utah, early Monday night. Sheriff spokeswoman Trish Carter said Mitchell and Turner were each arrested on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of narcotic drugs and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia,all  felonies. Mitchell was also charged with allegedly knowingly display fictitious license plate, a misdemeanor. Carter said around 5 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 389 at Airport Avenue in Colorado City. Deputies contacted Mitchell, the driver and Turner, the passenger. A records check on the vehicle’s license plate showed the plate belonged to another vehicle. Mitchell was taken into custody without incident. During the investigation, said Carter, deputies learned there was alleged heroin and methamphetamine inside the vehicle. Deputies detained Turner and a search of the vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine and heroin. Mitchell and Turner were taken to the Kane County jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report at the Mohave County jail Monday night regarding a court commit inmate reportedly having contraband on them. Around 10 p.m., deputies contacted a Detention Officer at the Mohave County jail regarding inmate Jose Alan Macias, 22, of Bullhead City, who was allegedly in possession of pills, said Trish Carter. The Detention Officer reported the pills were found inside a balloon pouch on Macias. The pills were identified as Xanax, prescription-only pills. Deputies contacted Macias and charged him with bringing prohibited items into corrections facility, a felony, and possession of prescription only drugs, a misdemeanor.

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested John Paul Miller, 45, of Lake Havasu City, Friday night on suspicion of assault, a misdemeanor. Shortly after 10 p.m., deputies responded to a report of an assault at a residence in the 4000 block of Window Rock Road. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a 53-year-old female victim. The victim said that she and Miller, her roommate, got into an argument in the kitchen while both of them were cooking dinner at the same time. The victim reported that Miller allegedly pushed her down to the floor. Deputies observed a small cut on the victims elbow and her right index finger was starting to swell up, said Trish Carter. Deputies contacted Miller, who said the victim had reportedly pushed him and he pushed her back. Miller further said that the victim hit him three times in the face. Deputies did not observe any marks on Miller. Miller was taken into custody without incident. He was taken to the Mohave County jail.

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Andrew Trenton Vicente, 24, of Norwalk, CA, Saturday afternoon for Operating Under the Influence and Operating Under the Influence with a blood alcohol concentration over .08%, all misdemeanors. Shortly after 1 p.m., deputies observed a watercraft traveling in Thompson Bay with an excessive wake. Deputies noticed the watercraft accelerate and create a large wake behind it about a mile away from the buoys. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and contacted Vincent, the operator of the vessel. During conversations with Vicente, he said that he was aware of the “no wake” zone, but he thought it would be fine since he was about 50 feet away from the buoys. Deputies reportedly smelled an odor of alcohol on Vicente and further conversations with Vicente, he reportedly admitted to having three beers earlier, said Trish Carter. Following the field sobriety tests, Vicente was taken into custody and transported to Contact Point where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .110%. He was taken to the Mohave County jail without incident. San Bernardino Sheriff’s Waterways deputies assisted by transporting Vicente’s passenger to a resort while towing the personal watercraft.

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jeanine Gloria Avila, 43, of Mohave Valley, Saturday afternoon on a misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Bullhead City Municipal Court. Around 2:30 p.m., deputies contacted Avila at a residence in the 8600 block of Ash Drive regarding her arrest warrant. Avila was taken into custody without incident. She was taken to the Mohave County jail.
