paul gosarHope everyone heard about the success of our last meeting, where our guest was our Republican Congressman, Dr. Paul Gosar.  We had a packed house, and a good bit of drama to boot, especially over the chemtrails issue, as well as over the water issue, which Cong. Gosar addressed at some length.  I do know of the disagreement between Cong. Gosar and the Supervisors on that issue, which we will deal with a bit at our upcoming meeting.

Our next meeting is still some two weeks and change away (it will be on Monday, May 18th at the Dambar Steakhouse at 11:15 AM), but it is shaping up to be a real good one.  We have two speakers for the event.  First, our main speaker will be Arizona Representative Sonny Borrelli of Lake Havasu, currently serving his second term.  Sonny informs us he has sponsored quite a number of bills this session, as well as becoming expert with the legislative process, and he will be taking ample time to fill us in on all the details.

Secondly, District 2 Supervisor Hildy Angius and District 5 Supervisor Steve Moss will be coming to give their perspective on the water issue, where they disagree with Congressman Gosar.  This can at times be a difficult to understand issue, but, as we have seen with the water rationing in California, this is an issue we should all learn more about, and I’m sure this won’t be the last time we deal with the water issue.

As always, our meetings are open to the public and no reservations are necessary.  The meeting costs only $3, with lunch optional and on your own.  Yearly membership for the club is only $12, and we continue to enroll new members – indeed, it is gratifying to see new faces every meeting.  We will also continue to have our book exchange, as slowly but surely that is becoming more active.

Also wish to thank Steve Robinson, who, apart from being the MCRCC District I Director, has agreed to be the secretary for our club.  We’re still seeking a few more good men (and women) to be officers.  I’d like to add two more VP’s, at least one who is very computer-savvy, in order to get the website going and to work on getting us more on social media – I do invite everyone to like our Conservative Republican Club of Kingman Facebook page.

I will of course keep everyone updated, and feel free to contact me with any ideas you might have for either the club, or for any speakers you’d like me to get.
