A convenience store clerk is shot dead and Phoenix Police are trying to find his killer. It happened around 12:30 Monday morning at a South Phoenix 7-11 at 16th Street and Southern. Sergeant Vince Lewis says the gunman held up two clerks and then forced them into a back room of the store, where

one of them was fatally shot. Lewis says the suspect then ran on foot. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Lewis says investigators are considering the possibility one of the victims may have fought off the gunman.

All police have on this pictured suspect is that it’s a man wearing dark clothing, wearing a bandana over his face and gloves. Lewis made an appeal to the gunman to come forward.

If you can help solve the case, call Phoenix Police or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. If you provide information leading to an arrest, you’re eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
