Phoenix Police shoot a man after he throws rocks and knives at officers.  Sergeant Jon Howard with Phoenix Police says a man in his 20’s attacked a construction worker at a warehouse located off 24th Drive and Union Hills Thursday morning.  The lone worker showed up at the job site and did not

recognize the man who began throwing rocks at him and his car.  The worker called police who confronted the suspect.  The suspect began beating and slamming the cop car with his fists and then threw knives at one of the officers.  The officers then opened fire and shot the suspect.  The suspect was transferred to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.  Howard says the suspect’s behavior is “remarkable and unusual,” but it’s unclear whether he was impaired by alcohol or drugs.  The suspect’s identity is unknown.
