Kingman City Council member Stuart Yocum spent the night in the Mohave county jail following his arrest for drunk driving. Yocum, 47, was booked into jail for separate misdemeanor, DUI offenses at 11:18 p.m. Wednesday, May 31.

The Kingman Police Department said Yocum was driving about 45 miles per hour along the Hall Street “cut through” when his vehicle got airborne over a hump in the roadway. Police said Yocum failed to bring his vehicle to a proper stop at the intersection prompting a traffic stop.

Yocum reportedly failed field sobriety tests and the intoxilyzer test before he was booked into jail.
