December 7 in Topock: Public feedback sought during next week’s information meeting about area transportation improvements

Mohave County, in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), will host a public information meeting on Monday (Dec. 7), at the Golden Shores Senior Center (main hall), 13136 Golden Shores Parkway in Topock.

Study team members will be available from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. to present study background information, present the Selected Alternative and request the public’s comments and ideas to help refine the Selected Alternative for final design and construction. A brief presentation is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.

Mohave County secured Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program funding based on “predictive crash reduction methods” for a roundabout at the CR 1 at Powell Lake Road/Golden Shores Parkway intersection and realignment of the Powell Lake Road/Oatman Highway intersections. The funding for this project includes a study phase that began in spring 2015 to consider all alternatives before initiating conceptual and final design.

For more information on the project, please call Michele E. Beggs at 928.681.6054 or emailmbeggs@azdot.gov. Comments may be mailed to: Arizona Department of Transportation, Attn: Michele, 3660 E Andy Devine Ave., Kingman, AZ 86401.
