bnsfA minor derailment has stopped train traffic across northern Arizona along the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe line. A spokeswoman for the railroad, Lena Kent said an eastbound train struck a boulder early last night at Perrin, about 97 miles west of Winslow. Kent said no one was injured and she didn’t know if the mishap was weather related as heavy rain and snow has been blanketing northern Arizona since Sunday afternoon. Kent said three locomotives and one railroad car derailed. Kent said repairs are expected to be completed about 2:00 p.m. today.
