Bullhead City Animal Care & Welfare (ACW) and T.L.C. (Tender Loving Care) Veterinary Services are making a difference in the community by encouraging responsible pet ownership.
In less than 6 months, veterinarian services have been provided to 333 pet owners, including 297 dogs and 44 cats, while administering 703 vaccinations. (290 rabies, 227 distemper/parvo, 144 Bordetella, 25 feline distemper, and 17 leukemia). Since mid-October 2016, the clinics have also provided deworming medication for 100 animals, inserted 31 microchips, and gave 25 wellness exams.
“Residents should take advantage of these low cost clinics where services are performed by a licensed veterinarian,” said Bradley Oliver, Support Services Division Manager / Animal Care & Welfare Bureau Manager. “Getting your pet licensed and vaccinated against rabies is not only required, but helps keep your pet healthy. T.L.C. also offers other vaccines and health care services for cats and dogs.”
ACW and T.L.C. offer low cost vaccines and health care on the second and fourth Thursday of every month.
The next clinic will be on Thursday, March 23rd, 9 a.m. – 12 noon at the Bullhead City Animal Care and Welfare Facility, 2270 Trane Road.
