A forum for Mohave County District 4 Supervisor candidates has been scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, 2016, at the Golden Paradise Land Owners’ (GPLO) building located at 5505 U.S. Highway 68 in Golden Valley.

The forum being hosted by the GPLO, is designed to highlight the candidates and to give them the opportunity to provide information about their backgrounds; give the residents a chance to ask questions of the candidates, and to see what their goals, agendas and priorities are if elected.

The names of the candidates who have are running for the District 4 Supervisor position are (alphabetically) Rick Armstrong Jean Bishop, Mervin Pitchfork Freedom, and Krystal Symonds-Gabrielson.

Moderator Butch Meriwether encourages residents, and all elected officials – those who are running for election and/or those who are currently serving as an elected official (county, state and/or nationally), to attend the forum so residents can also meet them before and after the forum, and ask questions.

The doors to the GPLO will open at 5 p.m. in order for everyone to have time to talk with the various elected officials and those running for office prior to the forum beginning.

This forum is not a debate-type format and there will be no speeches or personal attacks on the candidates allowed by attendees of the event.

If residents have any questions about the event or the format, they can contact Meriwether via email at or call him at (928) 530-8988.
