The Bullhead City Animal Care & Welfare (ACW) would like to thank the media and citizens for their assistance in a recent dog attack incident.
On February 9th, ACW received a tip relating to a press release that asked for information on two pitbulls that attacked a dog and bit its owner on Saturday morning. The dog later died due to its injuries.
The tip led ACW officers to a local RV park where the two pitbulls and owner were residing. Carolyn Marie Dunn, 39, said that she had been watching the two dogs for a friend for about a month and a half. Dunn said she did not know that the dogs were involved in a dog fight. Dunn turned the dogs over to ACW officers for proper quarantine procedures. She was cited and released for two counts of dog at large-liability and two counts of no pet license.
The victim positively identified the dogs as the dogs that killed his dog and bit him.
