The City of Bullhead City observed National Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October by lighting City Hall with purple floodlights and taking part in several activities. City employees, to show their support, wore purple clothing throughout the month of October, with many wearing purple on October 20.
On October 20, 2016, City Manager Toby Cotter and many City employees dressed in purple and dedicated the Bullhead City Victim Resource Center in memory of Kimberly Kay Williams. Kim was a City employee who was a fatal victim of domestic violence this summer. Kim’s daughter Lexi cut the dedication ribbon and Kim’s mother Bernice and Sister Cindy were also present for the ceremony.
The Bullhead City Victim Resource Center, located at 1255 Marina Boulevard, Bullhead City, AZ, serves all Bullhead City crime victims.
