Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Misty Darlene Slay, 36, of Fort Mohave, late Monday (8/31) afternoon for aggravated assault per domestic violence, felony. Late Sunday (8/30) evening, at about 11:21 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance call at a residence in the 4400 block of Calle Viveza. Upon arrival, deputies observed a male subject sitting on a vehicles back bumper surrounded by people. Deputies contacted the male subject, later identified as a 44-year-old victim. The victim said that he was assaulted by Slay, his wife, at their residence. The victim advised that they had friends over their house drinking and all of a sudden Slay starting hitting him. The victim further advised that he ran out of the house and a friend drove him to his brothers’ house. Deputies observed scratch marks on the victims’ nose and head. Deputies contacted a witness and the witness said that Slay started hitting her husband in the face and a friend pulled Slay off of her husband. Another witness said that Slay broke a bottle and held the broken bottle in her hand threatening to kill her husband. The witness further said that they calmed Slay down before they left the residence. Deputies attempted to contact Slay at their residence in the 4300 block of Los Maderos without success. Deputies observed the broken bottle on the counter. Late Monday (8/31) afternoon, at about 4:37 p.m., deputies contacted Slay at a residence in the 4300 block of Los Maderos. During conversations with Slay, she said that she and her husband were arguing. Deputies questioned Slay about the broken bottle and Slay said she is being setup. Slay was taken into custody without incident. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
