Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Edwardo Buenrostro, 38, of Golden Valley, Saturday (3/21) evening for trespassing per domestic violence, felony, along with theft, disorderly conduct per domestic violence and threatening per domestic violence, misdemeanors. Approximately 8:20 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic violence call at a residence in the 3600 block of North Emery Park Road. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a 37-year-old female victim. The victim said that Buenrostro, her ex-boyfriend, showed up at her place drunk, argumentative, took her cell phone and he brandished a gun. The victim further said that Buenrostro was driven to her residence by his friend and they left after 911 was called. The victim reported that Buenrostro grabbed her cell phone from her and he threatened to kill her as they were standing on the porch. The victim further reported that Buenrostro barged into the house after she walked inside. The victim advised that Buenrostro’s friend got Buenrostro out of the residence and took off because they knew 911 was called. Deputies contacted a witness and the witness confirmed the victim’s statements.
A short time later, deputies located Buenrostro at a residence in the 3600 block of North Tonto Road. Deputies contacted Buenrostro. During conversations with Buenrostro, he admitted to going over to see his ex-girlfriend. Further conversations with Buenrostro, he denied taking the vicitms cell phone and brandishing a weapon. A consent search of Buenrostro vehicle revealed a .25 caliber gun and a cell phone belonging to the victim. Buenrostro was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
