District 5 state senator Sue Donahue is running for Mohave County Supervisor. The elections office said that the Lake Havasu City republican has initiated paperwork in an effort to qualify as a candidate to challenge District 5 supervisor Steve Moss.
Donahue is the former administrative assistant to supervisor Buster Johnson who was appointed to serve out the current term of Kelli Ward, when Ward resigned to spend more time on her U.S. senate campaign.
Lake Havasu City republican Gary Kellogg was the first prospective candidate in the current election cycle to submit his nominating papers at the county elections office. Kellogg turned in his petitions May 5 in his bid to replace Johnson as county supervisor in District 3.
