Douglas and the state of Arizona have
lost a radio legend.  Howard Henderson,
known as “The Voice of Douglas” for many years,  has died after a battle with cancer.  Howard was the proud owner of radio station
KDAP in Douglas, where he earned the nickname “Mr. Wonderful” for always
replying “wonderful” when asked how he was.

He was known both for his broadcast expertise, as well as his
philanthropy, involving himself and his station in numerous fundraisers and
charity events.  On a personal note, Mr.
Henderson was a good friend of Skyview Networks, with KDAP having been a
longtime Arizona News Radio affiliate.
His friendly nature and big booming voice will be sorely missed during
our future affiliate gatherings.  Howard’s
life can simply be summed up in one word.
