downloadThe name of the driver killed in Thursday’s rollover accident on Highway 68 has been released by the Department of Public Safety.

DPS spokesman Quentin Mehr identified the driver as Mark Golden, 55, of Kingman. DPS investigators say that he was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. He was ejected from the Ford pick-up as it rolled across the highway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Golden’s passenger was identified as Jason Heinze, 30, also of Kingman. Mehr said, the passenger was wearing his seatbelt but sustained serious injuries. He was airlifted to a Las Vegashospital. His current condition is not known.

Officers investigating the accident say the pick-up was heading toward Bullhead City when it drifted into the median for unknown reasons. Mehr said, the driver appears to have overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll.

            DPS is continuing their investigation.
