The Lake Havasu Metropolitan Planning Organization is hosting a public information meeting to share recommended solutions that have been identified as possible improvements in the region’s first Regional Transportation Plan. The meeting will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Lake Havasu City Police Facility Meeting Room, 2360 McCulloch Boulevard, North. A brief presentation will be conducted during the meeting.
Members of the community have been instrumental in helping the study team identify current and future needs, and have shared important comments that have helped develop the recommended solutions including a strong desire for improvements to transit, roadways, and bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
The public meeting, the final in a series of three, will feature an overview of the Plan and the proposed preliminary improvement projects. This is the last public meeting where community members will be able to comment on the plan prior to its release for a more formal, 30-day review at the beginning of 2016. Study team representatives are seeking input from members of the community on what transportation improvements they think would be a priority and most effective in moving the community into the future.
Members of the community that are not able to attend the public meeting can still participate in the process. All public meeting materials will be available to view online starting Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at www.lhmpo.org/LHMPO/studies/regional-transportation-plan. Members of the public that are unable to attend the public meeting are invited to take an online survey to help prioritize proposed projects and provide comments by visiting the study website at: www.lhmpo.org/LHMPO/studies/regional-transportation-plan. Comments are requested by Saturday, November 14, 2015.
Persons needing special accommodations, such as a language interpreter, are asked to contact Alexandra Albert at 602-530-1697 or email@example.com at least 48 hours in advance of the public meeting.
