McGrath was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. Heit was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, along with two misdemeanor warrants for contempt of court issued by Kingman Justice Court and Kingman Municipal Court.
Approximately 11:50 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic in the 4000 block of East Ryan Street. Deputies contacted McGrath, the driver, and Heit, the passenger. A records check showed Heit to have outstanding warrants. Heit was taken into custody without incident. Deputies found Heit to be in possession of a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance. Deputies observed a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance on the driver’s seat after McGrath exited the vehicle per the deputy’s request. The bag located on the driver’s seat weighted approximately 2.74 grams.
A search of the vehicle revealed an electronic scale with white residue. McGrath was taken into custody without incident. They were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
