Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET) detectives executed a search warrant in the 10500 block of S Lead Lane Tuesday (3/14) morning at about 7:05 a.m. MAGNET was assisted by the Department of Child Safety and Mohave County Sheriff’s Animal Control Officers.
The search revealed approximately an ounce of methamphetamine, a BHO (Butane Honey Oil) lab, two rifles, two handguns, numerous drug paraphernalia located in the suspect’s bedroom.
Brandi Jean Olmsted, 34, was arrested for vulnerable child abuse-reckless, marijuana violation and possession of drug paraphernalia, all felonies.
Daniel Eric Waters, 42, was arrested for vulnerable child abuse-reckless, possession of equipment for manufacturing narcotic drugs, transport and/or sell dangerous drugs, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, all felonies.
Detectives also located in Olmsted’s 8-year-old son’s bedroom a marijuana water pipe and a pill bottle containing marijuana residue. The weapons and drugs were easily accessible to the child.
Department of Child Safety responded and took custody of the child.
Olmsted and Waters were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident.
