Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jennifer Marie Petrova, 33, and Henry Eugene Drew, 47, both of Fort Mohave, early Thursday (9/3) morning. Petrova was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, felony, and open liquor container in vehicle, misdemeanor. Drew was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, along with two misdemeanor warrants for failure to pay fines issued by Bullhead City Justice Court and Bullhead City Municipal Court. Late Wednesday (9/2) evening, at about 11:55 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Camp Mohave Road and Amanda Avenue. Deputies contacted Petrova, the driver, and Drew, the passenger. Deputies smelled an odor of beer coming from inside the vehicle and they observed an unopen beer in the cup holder. Deputies had both occupants exit the vehicle. A consent search of the vehicle revealed an open beer located under the driver’s seat. Petrova did not show any signs of alcohol impairment. Deputies located a brown leather bag on the ground, under the passenger door. Drew was detained. A search of the leather bag revealed a glass pipe containing a usable amount of a white crystal substance in the bowl and three plastic bags containing marijuana with a total weight of 16 grams. A records check showed Drew to have outstanding warrants. A search of Petrova’s purse revealed a glass pipe with burnt residue. Petrova and Drew were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
