Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Loyd Bee Miller, 28, of Flagstaff, early Sunday (2/15) evening for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. At about 5:15 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 2000 block of Monazite Place in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Dispatch advised that the reporting party said a grey sedan vehicle has been parked in the area for over an hour and a male subject is sitting in the vehicle. Upon arrival, deputies observed the vehicle partially in the roadway. Deputies contacted the driver identified as Miller. Miller advised that he was in the area trying to catch up with an old friend. Deputies observed Miller was shaking and slightly stuttering. Deputies had Miller exit the vehicle. Deputies observed Miller put his hands into his pocket numerous times while deputies were speaking with him. A consent search of Miller revealed a glass pipe with residue and a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance which later field tested positive for methamphetamine. The substance weighed approximately 3.5 grams. Miller was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
