The drunk driver who plowed into former Pima County District One Supervisor Ann Day has been arrested.  Deputy Ryan Inglett with the Pima County Sheriff’s Office says 24-year-old Jarrad Barnes was driving along a Tucson road when he crossed the median and rammed into Day head-on.  A truck driver behind Day was unable

to maneuver his way around the crash and smashed into Barnes and Day.  The “jaws of life” were used to cut Day out of her car and she was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.  Barnes and the truck driver sustained minor injuries.  Following Barnes’ release from the hospital, he was booked into jail on one count of manslaughter and DUI.
