A D-P-S spokesman says it’s hard to tell whether a driver caught up in a dust storm had the chance to pull aside  before getting killed in Monday’s wreck. But Bart Graves with D-P-S says, the sudden cloud of dust did play a role in the deadly wreck.

Graves says a Litchfield Park woman driving a Subaru Outback was crushed in between two semi-trucks on Interstate 10 in Quartzsite.  She died but the truck drivers were unhurt and their vehicles received minor damage.

D-P-S says, if you’re on the road and you see a dust storm rolling in, always pull off the road, turn off your lights, and park. Then wait for the cloud to pass by before continuing on your way.

The accident remains under investigation.
