Seven of the first 16 applicants were selected to interview for the City of Kingman’s Economic Development Director’s position. One of the seven has withdrawn, leaving one Arizonan and five out of state residents being scheduled to interview via Skype this Thursday, June 1.

A second round of in-person interviews is contemplated June 19, 20.

A new hire could possibly join city staff by August, if not sooner. On the other hand, the position is open until filled, and the hiring process could be extended if the initial interviews don’t produce a director.
