A little after 8: 00 p.m. on Tuesday, the results of months of hard work for candidates and campaigns around the state will start being reported to the Secretary of State’s office. Secretary Michele Reagan has announced her technology team has developed and launched http://results.arizona.vote, an enhanced site to better display the vote totals as they come in from Arizona’s fifteen counties.
“Our in-house technology team developed the site to eliminate the problems voters experienced in 2012 and 2014 and make it easier for people to view race results,” said Secretary Reagan. “Not only do we think people will find it greatly improved, we also saved money by developing the site ourselves.
“The page features several upgrades like the ability for users to select races of interest, view featured contests and assess statewide election results in real-time. Our technology team also eliminated the need to constantly refresh the page to view up-to-date results by automating the page to display live data.”
The improvements build on the Secretary’s initiative to improve the office’s online systems. Combined with the Consolidated Candidate Platform, online candidate filing, www.Arizona.Vote and digital processing of initiatives, voters can easily access online information about the issues and candidates facing them on the ballot from anywhere.
Polls will be open from 6:00 am to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30. Election officials remind voters who have yet to return their early ballot to bring it to a polling place rather than returning it by mail. Voters can search for their polling place, verify voter registration and track the status of their early ballot on dedicated elections portal www.Arizona.Vote.
