A Golden Shores area transient is suspected of illegally dumping yard waste along a rural roadway. Jackson Fink, 55, was charged with criminal littering for commercial purposes, a class 6 felony.
On October 24th, 2016 ERACE detectives opened a case in reference to multiple telephone calls received from Golden Shores residents that located an illegally dumped pile of large palm trees and trimmings along the dirt continuation of Monarch Drive, east of Route 66.
Clearly visible drag marks and trail of wood shavings led detectives to a residence with similar trees on the property. The property owner advised that he had paid Jackson Fink $60 cash to remove the illegally dumped trees.
The detectives returned to the illegal dumpsite several days later to find that some of the tree trimmings were burned. Information was obtained that Jackson Fink had prior convictions for illegal dumping and burning items.
The detectives were unable to contact Jackson Fink due to his lack of a permanent residence.
The copy of the report was forwarded to the County Attorney’s Office with a warrant request for a class 6 felony charge of illegal dumping.
