Decorated in a distinctive light blue shade, the freshly painted light blue Beale Celebrations event center represents another improved property in downtown Kingman. Those involved in the exterior renovation of the 9,000 sq. ft. facility at 4th and Beale Street were thanked during an April 28 press conference on site.

The list included designer Steve Smith, Axiom Construction, subcontractors, Legacy Signs, Bill Shilling, Jim McErlean and other Kingman city officials.
“We felt we had all of the good will of the city for doing this, so thank you very much,” said Klaus Wernigk, a board member for the Fleischmann AZ Investment Group. He also thanked Mayor Richard Anderson and City Manager John Dougherty, both of whom attended the press conference.
Wernigk said crews will complete an interior remodel in July. He said a 1950’s theme is envisioned, with stained concrete floors, features that will improve acoustics and a mobile stage that can accommodate a variety of gatherings.
“We would be happy if this project would inspire and encourage other owners and investors to follow up and to help old downtown Kingman be more attractive,” Wernigk said. “It’s worth it. Let’s do this!”
Manager Jamie Taylor said the property has most recently played host to high school proms. She said its available for all sorts of events, ranging from education and political functions to seminars and weddings.
