Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Andrew Scott Caraveau, 42, of Mohave Valley, early Saturday (12/27) morning for DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08% and extreme DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .15% and less than 20%, misdemeanors. Deputies observed a black GMC truck that crossed over the yellow lines numerous times while traveling southbound on Highway 95. Approximately 1:50 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic at El Rodeo Road on Highway 95 and contacted Caraveau, the driver. Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Caraveau. During conversations with Caraveau, he admitted to having four beers earlier. Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Caraveau was taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County District II Substation where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .161%. Caraveau was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
