Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kellsi Nizhoni Chischilly, 19, of Lake Havasu City, early Sunday (3/1) morning for DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08%, extreme DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .15% and less than 20%, and minor consumption, all misdemeanors. Deputies observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 95 in the number two lane, closest to the shoulder. Deputies further observed the vehicle merge into the number one lane, the left lane, as the vehicle’s right turn signal was blinking. Deputies further observed the vehicle merge into the center, left turn lane, with the vehicle’s right turn signal blinking. Approximately 3:30 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Lake Drive near Highway 95. Deputies contacted Chischilly, the driver. Deputies smelled a strong odor of alcohol on Chischilly. Deputies observed Chischilly’s speech was slurred. During conversations with Chischilly, she admitted to having a shot of alcohol earlier. Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Chischilly was taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County District III Substation where an analysis revealed her blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .177%. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
