download (55)The 69th Annual Mohave County Fair wrapped up on Sunday September 20th after an amazing, four day festival. The theme of Wheels, Squeals & Ferris Wheels was very apropos as it offered everything from a full-size midway to scramble car races, livestock exhibits and amazing concerts.

About 20,000 people attended coming from Phoenix, California, Nevada and internationally from Europe and Australia. The fair produced a positive impact on hotel occupancy rates in Kingman, which averaged 89% for Friday and Saturday night, compared to 69% the previous three weekends.

While occupancy overall has remained flat most of September, fair weekend was up an astonishing 28% over last year. The total bump in hotel occupancy for the four days, Wednesday through Saturday, accounted for some $83,500 in hotel revenues alone (source: STR, Inc. *).

Fair organizers look forward to building on this year’s success with more activities and performances next year.  For more information, contact Mohave County Fairgrounds at 928.753.2636.
