Police are looking for a man who robbed a Dollar Store last month.  Sergeant Derek Elmore with Silent Witness says a man walked into a Family Dollar Store in the 17-hundred block of West Southern Avenue last month and assaulted a female clerk before robbing the store.  Elmore says the suspect loitered at the

beverage cooler near the front registers and as soon as the clerk walked behind the counter, he pulled a gun from a paper bag he had concealed in his waistband.  The man then pushed the gun and his left hand against the clerk’s chest while demanding money from the register.

The clerk handed over the cash and the suspect ran from the scene.  He was seen leaving in a dark SUV with gray trim along the running boards.  The suspect is described as a Hispanic mane, about 30-years-old, between five-foot-seven and five-foot-ten, around 175-1990 pounds and clean-shaven.  The suspect was wearing a black hat, black horn-rimmed “high-end” Ray Ban sunglasses and a black and white t-shirt with “Chicago” on it.  Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.  A cash reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of suspect.
