It’s back! After a winter hiatus, the very popular Bullhead City Farmers Market returns on Saturday, February 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. AZ time at Community Park, 1251 Highway 95, in Bullhead City.
The Bullhead City Farmers Market offers a variety of shopping ideas from delicious, fresh fruits and vegetables to homemade jams, soaps, crafts, and baked goods.
“Our market is unique and eclectic due to our demographic,” said Bullhead City Farmers Market Director Bonnie Tarloff. “We are not surrounded by farms with an abundance of consumable seasonal items, so we need to improvise each and every month the market is open to find vendors. This is by no means an easy task. There are so many things we do behind the scenes year round.”
Marking its fourth year, the number of vendors has since grown expediently following its opening at Ken Fovargue Park in the spring of 2013.
“When we first started we had 25 vendors. In 2015, those numbers grew and we had almost 60 vendors participating, and this time around we are expecting about 70 vendors,” said Market Coordinator Vanette Schnitz.
“Our number of vendors and participants are quadrupling over the years,” Schnitz said.
Bullhead City Farmers Markets dates include March 11, April 1 and May 6, before going dark for the summer. Admission is free for all ages and live entertainment is provided.
Sponsors of the Bullhead City Farmers Market are Murphy Broadcasting, Jenner’s Furniture, Suzi Bounce Rentals, Sam’s Club, Desert Lawn, Mohave Shred, and Top Producers Realty.
“Without our partnership with the City we just wouldn’t be able to pull this off,” said Tarloff.
“We are a volunteer staff of two organizations with two support volunteers.”
