Phoenix police are investigating a deadly car accident that knocked out power at a major intersection in South Phoenix.  Sergeant Vince Lewis with Phoenix police says a speeding car rammed into a pick-up truck with such force, the truck catapulted into an SRP power pole, through a cement block wall where it rolled

and ended up resting at a mobile home park.  The truck driver died at the scene.  The driver who caused the accident was not hurt.  Police says speed was a factor in the crash and signs also point to impairment.  The accident happened at a major intersection off Grand Avenue and 37th Avenue.  Power was knocked out in surrounding areas.  Grand Avenue will be closed for morning rush hour.
