Introduced to the masses by the television hit series, “Seinfeld,” “Festivus” is a gift to pop culture that keeps on giving.  December 23, 2015, we escape the commercialism, trappings and pressures associated with the Christmas holiday and celebrate Festivus – for the Rest of us!

It’s a Festivusl miracle!  What was once a much-celebrated parody, Festivus has now become an annual holiday tradition that includes a Festivus dinner centered around the “Airing of Grievances.”  The “Airing of Grievances” is a treat where everyone shares stories of all the ways their family has disappointed them over the past year.

Instead of the twinkling of Christmas tree lights, the Festivus family enjoys the glow of an unadorned aluminum “Festivus Pole.”
The traditional Festivus dinner ends in “Feats of Strength” where the head of the household challenges someone to a wrestling match.  The holiday is not complete without everyone telling stories of easily explainable events as “Festivus miracles!”
