Despite a growing population the latest voter
registration numbers released by the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office shows
the number of registered voters declining 45,509 voters to a
grand total of 3,254,397.  Spokesman Matt
Roberts says this is really more of an adjustment than a decline as
registration rolls were updated after recent municipal elections.

Roberts says they expect to see a surge of
voter registrations as we approach next month’s deadline to register to vote in
the March Presidential Preference Election.  That election is open only to voters who register as Democrats or Republicans.
