Personnel with the Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire District successfully protected three structures threatened by a May 22 brush fire in north Kingman. Crews responded at 4:00 p.m. to the incident at 1040 Huffman Way.

Arriving personnel encountered a grass and brush fire about 1/4-acre in size.
“Hand lines were deployed to first protect the structures and then extinguish the fire,” a news release stated. “There was no property loss and minor damage to an electrical pole.”
Official said it was determined that the fire was set by juveniles who were playing with a lighter.
