OTMN  The Fire Chief of the historic mining town of Oatman scuffled with a former firefighter at the scene of a fire over the weekend. The Mohave County sheriff’s office reported the incident occurred while personnel were putting out a vehicle fire at the south end of town on Sunday afternoon.

The Sheriff’s office said Fire Chief Rick Leivas told deputies that former firefighter Jonathan Blake stepped onto a fire truck and started to manipulate the pressure settings and other functions.

“The Fire Chief reported that he and Blake started to scuffle with one another after he asked Blake to get off the truck,” the sheriff’s office said. Blake was arrested for obstructing a governmental operation.
