The Bullhead City Fire Department responded to the report of a brush fire involving a palm tree at 1680 Highway 95 at 10:36 p.m. on July 4. Agency spokeswoman Lorrae Viles said Ladder 721 and Brush Truck 716 arrived on scene and were able to contain and extinguish the fire quickly.
Battalion Chief Stephenson advised the probable cause of the fire was fireworks related. Fortunately, the fire was stopped before it was able to spread to any structures. The Bullhead City Fire Department would like to remind all citizens to use extreme caution when lighting permissible consumer fireworks.
