The former Laughlin mother who is believed to have enlisted the help of her son in an alleged murder plot in Indiana is now behind bars.
U.S. Marshals arrested Renee Perillo, 51, on Monday in Montana. Agents tracked her to a residence in the small town of Stevensville, near the Idaho border, about 30 miles south of Missoula.
Perillo’s arrest comes 11 days after her son, Richard Perillo, 21, was arrested in San Diego.
Both mother and son, who lived in Laughlin until this year, are accused of plotting to kill a divorce attorney in an Indianapolis suburb last month. They had been arrested in Noblesville, IN on minor charges after they were found in the back of an SUV of their intended target. They were released on bail before Hamilton Countyprosecutors could piece together the alleged murder plot.
Arrest warrants were issued on Jun. 5 when the two failed to appear for an arraignment hearing in Noblesville.
The divorce attorney had been pursuing a former Ft. Mohave urologist on behalf of his ex-wife as part of a settlement in their divorce. Dr. Arlando Trubucco allegedly hadn’t made a payment on their settlement and the divorce attorney was taking steps to enforce the settlement. Renee Perillo is Dr. Trubucco’s girlfriend and it was Dr. Trubucco that bailed her and her son out of jail in Indiana.
Perillo remains incarcerated at the Ravalli County Adult Detention Center in Hamilton, MT. She will appear in court on Jul. 1 to start extradition proceedings back to Indiana.
