Mohave County Sheriff Doug Schuster congratulated and welcomed a class of six Detention Officer Graduates on Thursday, March 9, 2017, in Kingman. The graduation class included Deanna Black, Derrick Flores, Alexander Gisel, Jason Lowe, Marissa Newman and Breana Traxler.
The graduates successfully completed 4 weeks of academy training and will now undergo an additional 5 weeks of field training. Before becoming a detention officer these recruits participated in a 1 day testing process, which included a written examination, a physical agility test and an interview before a three-member panel.
The next Detention Officer Recruit testing process is scheduled for April 10, 2017; anyone interested should contact the Mohave County Human Resources at (928) 753-0736.
