The polls are open until 7:00 P.M. for today’s general election. Many local races of interest were decided in the August primary but a number of other contests will be determined when today’s election is tabulated.
Lake Havasu City voters take interest in city council races and the school district bond issue and budget override proposals. Republican Mohave County supervisor Buster Johnson is defending his seat against a challenge from Independent Cassandra Mooneyham.
Ballot measures 205 and 206 are attracting statewide attention.
County officials expect local turnout will approach or exceed 70%.
