Heavy rains are expected to trigger massive flooding for the Valley and the Phoenix Fire Department wants you to stay safe.  Over the last few weeks, the fire department has handed out over ten-thousand sandbags to Valley residents to hold back rising flood waters from entering their homes.  Phoenix Fire

Captain Ben Santillan says it’s time to get out those sandbags and protect your home from flooding.  Santillan also warns against driving in the rain.  The Phoenix Fire Department was called out to rescue over a dozen people during the last monsoon two weeks ago.  He says if your area is prone to flooding, it’s wise to stay home if possible.  If you do find yourself trapped in a flooded wash, don’t be afraid to call 9-1-1.
