Bullhead City is once again gearing up for another huge soccer tournament that is expected to have a significant impact on the local economy and bring many talented youth soccer players and their families to the community.
The 19th Annual Colorado River Open Invitational Tournament (CRIT) is a three day tournament that will be held Saturday, February 18 through Monday, February 20. The City and AYSO Region 397 will host 121 teams this year.
The teams will start to arrive on Friday evening to register and prepare for the tournament. All games will be played at the Rotary Park Soccer Complex at 2315 Balboa Dr.
“AYSO Region 397 puts on a very competitive and organized tournament with teams from cities like Las Vegas, NV, Corona, CA, Glendale, AZ, but I always enjoy seeing the energy and talent from the Bullhead City Teams,” said city manager Toby Cotter. “We look forward to the significant economic impact of this tournament every year and encourage our businesses to welcome the youth participants and their families with open arms.”
The City estimates the total economic impact of the tournament to be $2.1 million for Bullhead City and Laughlin.
