The Mohave County Sheriff’s office is cautioning the public and requesting information about an incident involving a young girl at Black Mountain Elementary School in Golden Valley. Agency spokeswoman Trish Carter said an unidentified man approached a nine year-old girl as she ran toward the parking lot after school last Friday.

Carter said the man reportedly grabbed the girl by the arm and told her to go with him. She said a bystander broke up the encounter and that the girl suffered a scratch to her arm.

“The suspect is described as a white male subject between 30 to 40 years of age with short brown hair and some graying,” Carter said. “The suspect has a skull tattoo on his hand or near his wrist. The suspect left driving an older model two door truck possibly red or blue, or red, white and blue in color.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office (928-753-9100.)
