Glendale Fire Department investigators continue looking into the cause of a house fire that displaced several people and hospitalized one. Captain Ron Hart says firefighters, originally called out to a hazmat situation, found a house engulfed in flames which then spread to the home next door.
Hart says it was that second house fire that was the most demanding for firefighters to put out.
Hart says, as firefighters battled the fire from the outside, they found the homeowner in the first house outside suffering from minor smoke inhalation. He was hospitalized for evaluation.
The fire’s displaced the man in the first house, and four others in the second house. No one except for the single homeowner suffered any injuries.
