The Black Mountain school in Golden Valley was secured this morning as a precaution to protect student safety. Sketchy details are provided by the Mohave County Sheriff’s office.
Spokeswoman Trish Carter said a subject emerged from a two vehicle traffic accident near the school brandishing a weapon in a threatening manner. The school was secured to prevent any entry into the facility while authorities conducted an air and ground search for the threatening subject.
Carter said parents were alerted to the possibility of picking up their children in a controlled manner on the school grounds.
