fireA fire this afternoon at River Valley High School forced the evacuation of the entire campus as a precautionary measure. A golf cart that had not been used for several months burst into flames near a maintenance room, according to school officials. Crews with the Mohave Valley Fire Department extinguished the fire within minutes of their arrival. Once the fire was extinguished, fire department officials released the students to the school cafeteria as the incident took place shortly before lunch. They are expected to return to their normal class schedule for the rest of the day.   Investigators have not determined what caused the golf cart to catch fire. Since it was so close to one of the school’s buildings, the decision was made to evacuate the entire campus just to be safe.   No injuries were reported.
