gvfdGolden Valley Fire District (GVFD) officials will host a public budget presentation in an informal setting tomorrow. Fire Chief Thomas O’Donohue and board members Mark Vanik and Jack Hommel  plan to outline the timeline and process in which a spending proposal is developed and adopted. No figures have publicly surfaced at this point but Board Chairman Paul Gorham suspects a tax levy increase is inevitable. “I truthfully believe that we’re probably going to have a tax increase,”Gorham said Friday. “That’s my thought. That’s my belief. Either that or we start going even more into our reserves.” No official action will come at the budget presentation but there will be opportunity for public input. “The way it’s supposed to work is they will take comments from the audience,” Gorham said. The meeting at the Fire District Training Center begins at 9:00 a.m.
