It took Lake Havasu City firefighters about 45 minutes to extinguish a fire in a large RV-type garage that was under construction. Personnel responded to the Monday fire call in the 100 block of Lake Havasu Avenue at 9:41 p.m.
Arriving personnel encountered the fully involved garage with flames threatening to spread to a nearby residence.
A press release indicated firefighters were able to protect the home and to minimize damage to another structure housing the Smart Shopper business to about $15,000.
Authorities estimated the value of damage to the garage at $50,000. No one was injured and the fire remains under investigation.
